In recent times, the fruit has been eaten by people from other cultures as well, Ukwa is related to other exotic fruits like breadnuts, Jackfruit, Fig, and Mulberries! Ukwa is rich in nutrients, fiber and is gluten-free.

As an Igbo proverb goes: “Ukwa Ichi nsukwuke” which means “Ukwa is a lifesaver.”

We have the ready to eat (roasted) and the other for preparing delicious dishes (unroasted)
